Lifetime warranty on your Baron jewel
We make every effort to ensure that the quality of our products is
of the highest standard and are confident in offering you a lifetime warranty
on your BARON jewellery, free of manufacturing defects, for the duration of its
life.
If you believe that your purchase has a manufacturing defect,
return it for inspection. If we determine that it is indeed damaged due to a
manufacturing defect, we will repair or replace it if we deem it preferable.
However, if we determine that the damage is not due to a
manufacturing defect, we will inform you and let you know if we can repair it
(with or without a charge).
Note that slight irregularities and variations in craftsmanship
and natural characteristics, or internal inclusions whether visible or not, in
coloured gemstones are unique and particular to each item. These
characteristics form the character of the item and must not be considered
defects.
Warranty Conditions:
Free
cleaning and inspection service for diamond rings
In order to validate the Warranty, the customer undertakes to have their
jewellery cleaned and inspected once every twelve months or if the jewellery
has suffered any form of shock or trauma.
That inspection will prevent the loss of the diamond/gem and
extend your jewellery’s lifespan. This cleaning and inspection service is free
for customers who own a BARON DESIGNS diamond/gem ring/jewellery. In the event
that the customer cannot come to the Montreal store, they can return the
jewellery by paying the shipping costs, and Baron Designs will pay the return
shipping costs. Any repairs to the jewellery can also be carried out at that
time (extra charge).
Exclusions
This manufacturer’s Warranty and the free services are available
exclusively to people who purchased a piece of jewellery made by BARON DESIGNS.
Maintenance, repairs, sizing, or any other service performed by
someone other than BARON DESIGNS can void this Warranty.
Fine jewellery is not immune to normal wear and tear and impacts.
This is particularly true for rings
since hands are subject to more abuse. Therefore, we do not offer a warranty against damage due to normal wear and tear,
loss of the product, loss of the stones, or theft. Damage or loss resulting
from the inability to make the necessary repairs to maintain the integrity of
the jewellery is also not covered.
Common examples of jewellery that are not considered manufacturing
defects are:
- Discoloration
due to exposure to chemicals, make-up, swimming pools, whirlpools, and
swimming.
- Claws
and precious metals generally wear over time and may require strengthening
or restoration to correct normal wear and tear.
- Claws
that are bent, pulled, or worn down by normal wear and tear or other
damage, and due to which a stone can fall out or get lost.
- A
stone that has been lost or has fallen off due to chipping or breaking due
to normal wear or other damage.
Therefore, the Warranty does not apply to
jewellery that:
a) has been subject to misuse, neglect, abuse, improper storage,
or an accident, whether intentional or not;
b) has not been properly taken care of; or
c) has been modified, or maintained by someone other than BARON
DESIGNS.
Accidents can happen (especially on rings), and that is why we strongly encourage our customers to have personal insurance for their peace of mind, that will protect their new jewellery,
